Catalogue
A catalogue is your list of products or services with their prices. Attach it to an agent and the agent can look up what you sell, for example “what is your cheapest vegetarian starter?”, instead of you typing every item into its instructions.
You will need: your products in a CSV or JSON file with a name, price, category and description for each item.
1. Add a catalogue
Section titled “1. Add a catalogue”Open Catalogue in the sidebar and press Add Catalogue. Give it a Name, for example “Spring menu”. Under Products file, press Click to upload and choose your CSV or JSON file. Press Add Catalogue.
2. Check it is ready
Section titled “2. Check it is ready”On Catalogues, each catalogue shows its Status and when it was Last synced. Wait until it says Ready.
3. Try a search
Section titled “3. Try a search”Press Test on the catalogue, type a question the way a customer would ask it, and press Search. The matching products show with their prices. This is what your agent will find.
4. Attach it to an agent
Section titled “4. Attach it to an agent”Open the agent, open Product Search, and pick from Select catalogues. Press Save on the agent. Then ask about a product on a test call.
Common failures
Section titled “Common failures”Add Catalogue says "Upload a CSV or JSON product feed"
No file was chosen, or it is not CSV or JSON. Save your sheet as CSV from Excel or Google Sheets, with columns for name, price, category and description, and upload it.
The status says Failed
The file could not be read. Check that it is CSV or JSON with a name and a price on every row, then add it again. If it still fails, message us.
The test search says "No matching products."
Nothing in the catalogue matches. Try the words your products actually use, and check the catalogue is Ready.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”- Knowledge bases: add FAQs and policies too.
