Telephony providers
A telephony provider is the phone company account your numbers live on. Numbers you buy in Foan are handled for you. If your business already has numbers with a provider, we can connect that account so your agents use those numbers.
You will need: nothing, to look. To connect your own account, a message to the Foan team.
1. See your connected accounts
Section titled “1. See your connected accounts”Open Numbers > Telephony Providers. Each connected account shows its provider, how many numbers it holds, and when it was last checked. If nothing is connected, the page says “No accounts connected”. That is normal if you only use numbers bought in Foan.
The same accounts also show at the bottom of My Numbers, under Telephony Providers.
2. Connect your own account
Section titled “2. Connect your own account”Message us with the provider you use and the numbers you want on Foan. We connect the account for you, and its numbers appear under My Numbers, ready for you to pick an agent for each.
3. Refresh or disconnect an account
Section titled “3. Refresh or disconnect an account”On an account, press Refresh to read its numbers again, for example after you added a number with the provider. Disconnect stops Foan using the account: its numbers stop taking and making calls in Foan, and any agent using one is left without a number. The numbers stay yours at the provider. Press Keep it connected if you change your mind.
Common failures
Section titled “Common failures”A number I added with my provider does not show in Foan
Press Refresh on that account. If it still does not show, message us.
A number shows "Account disconnected"
The account it sits on is no longer connected, so the number cannot take or make calls. Message us to connect it again.
A teammate opens Telephony Providers and sees "Your manager controls this"
Their login is limited to taking calls. Someone with a full login has to manage provider accounts.
Next steps
